Springfield man found dead by railroad tracks in Eugene

A Springfield man was found shot to death early Saturday morning, with the Eugene Police Department still trying to piece together what happened.

Following notification of family, the victim was identified as Ronald Leo Langlois, a 44-year-old Springfield employee of Portland and Western Railroad.

A co-worker found Langlois' body shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday near W. 2nd and Cleveland by the railroad tracks in Eugene.

Eugene Violent Crimes detectives are still investigating the case.
